Traveling to North America
North America, or The New World as it was once known, geographically includes Canada, U.S.A., Mexico, and Central America; however, for the purposes of this website and this brief discussion, North America will only include the U.S.A and Canada.
Though Columbus was the first to begin the spate of journeys to the New World, it was actually another Italian explorer by the name of Amerigo Vespucci who would name America, after his own first name – Amerigo.
The U.S.A and Canada are particularly famous for their vast open spaces and varying geographical dimensions. These lands are famous for their long roads and road trips. So many famous films and works of literature have been based on travelling the open roads of North America. The long journey from New York to Los Angeles has been the basis for great stories, and even the unworked pieces of literature that exist outside of the written world manifest themselves daily in the hearts of young travellers.
There’s so much to do in North America, let’s begin with the U.S.A. The U.S.A is famous for its cities, culture, and natural environment. Although the predominantly spoken language in the U.S.A is English, Español is not far behind. There are currently 41 million Spanish speakers in the U.S.A. The U.S.A was also a destination for many immigrants following both the First and Second World Wars.
New York is famous for its Italian influences, and from that comes great culture, food and enjoyment of life. This multi-culturalism makes the U.S.A an ideal place for families to travel to.
We’ve spoken about the U.S.A., but what about Canada? Canada offers a vastly different travel experience to the U.S.A, and it is easy to see why more and more people are choosing Canada as their next holiday destination.
Canada is larger than the U.S.A by land mass, and the vast majority of that land is all-natural environment. Whether you’re exploring the alpine coastlines, or the tall mountain ranges, Canada has everything to offer its travellers. From Vancouver to Toronto, Canada is a massive land mass.
Some of the more beautiful areas of Canada to explore include Alberta, where you can visit the lovely town of Banff. In Banff you can either hike during the summertime or immerse yourself in the snow sports during wintertime.
The Rockies of both Canada and the United States of America offer amazing views of some incredible mountain ranges. These peaks can get quite high, and if you are planning on hiking
There are also an almost limitless number of adventure activities to take part in while you travel overseas.
You will find that the North American experience provides one that is vastly different to anything you have experienced before, particularly in the U.S.A. The U.S.A provides a multi-ethnic experience in a giant land full of history and friendly people.
