If you purchase an online travel insurance policy with Travel Insurance Saver, you may be covered on your overseas holiday for any ziplining adventures you might undertake. Ziplining is a fairly safe adventure activity that is growing in popularity around the world because it is low-impact and a lot of fun.
Ziplining can be found in most of the world’s major tourist destinations nowadays. The flying fox as it is known here in Australia, is made up of a pulley that sits atop a cable, which is usually made from stainless steel, which is then situated on a slope.
What is it?
The person attaches to the pulley and using gravity gains considerable speed as they travel down the slope, or over a valley or gorge. Ziplines or flying foxes often traverse over canopies and treetops, they are used to greater explore the surrounding natural areas and cityscapes. Ziplines are not quite as extreme as giant swings, but they still carry inherent dangers.
If you are going to be travelling overseas you should always purchase travel insurance, likewise if you are going to use a zipline or flying fox abroad – you should also purchase an online travel insurance policy.
